Summary:
Inefficient data management has been a major weakness in blockchain-based decentralized applications (dApps). To improve space efficiency and data availability, an off-chain storage layer is needed. This study introduces two key components for the storage layer in the IPFS network. The IPFS Community component functions to encode and decode data before uploading, utilizing alpha entanglement codes to save storage space compared to the traditional IPFS replication method. Additionally, the monitoring and repair component is designed to detect and fix failures by distributing the repair workload among multiple nodes. Both components are modular and can be applied to other distributed file systems with appropriate connector adjustments.
